  • Board President

Mike was born and raised near Long Prairie and is a lifelong resident of Todd county. He is married to Rachael, and they have 3 kids, Haylie, Preston, and Brianna.

Mike and his family are members of River of Life Church in Long Prairie. In his spare time, he enjoys working around the family farm, family camping trips to the Boundary Waters, deer hunting, fishing, gardening, collecting, and working on International Gas Engines, and Farmall Tractors.

Mike is an active Todd County 4-H volunteer and a Club Leader for the Wykeham Willing Workers 4-H Club.

He has been involved with the Todd County Ag Society for 8 years and served as President for 5 years. It can be very challenging to be part of the group that plans and holds the county fair, but Mike finds it to be so rewarding. On the last night of the fair you look back and see the success it was, which is a direct result of our wonderful community. Mike tells his children that when they talk about organizations, they are part of, “If you don’t put anything into it, you will not get anything out of it in return.”

  • Vice President

David lives in Todd County and helps run a 4th generational family farm. They have 90 stock cows and farrow to finish 50 sows.

David’s kids are involved with 4-H making his family a 3 generation 4-H family. This has made the fair an important part of their family’s lives.

He has been a part of the Todd County Fairboard for 10 years! Over the last 3 years he has embraced the responsibility of the Vice President of the board.

His favorite part about being a part of the Fair Board is meeting all the different people.

  • Board Treasurer

Garhard spent his childhood growing up on the edge of Todd County. During high school, he moved away but found his way back to the area in 2006.

He currently lives with his wife Katie and their 4 daughters, dogs, and cats on a homestead right outside of Long Prairie.

He is in his 4th year of owning and operating Northern Legacy Spray Foam.

It is a guarantee that you will find Garhard attempting to bring a smile to those around him.

He has been a member of the Todd County Ag Society since 2018 and has been the Treasurer of the Fairboard since 2020.

  • Board Secretary

Katie and her family live in Long Prairie and she proudly says it is where she grew up.

She is married to Garhard Hendricks and they live on a hobby farm with their 4 daughters.  Katie has been a massage therapist for 8 years and has been running her own massage business for over 7 years.

Katie joined the Ag Society back in 2019, the year of Covid.  So unfortunately, they did not have a fair that summer.  She has since been an active member of the fair board.  And starting this year 2025, Katie holds the Secretary position.

Katie’s husband Garhard became a member a year before her, in 2018.  A seat became available the following year (2019) and she thought she would give being a fair board member a try, not having a clue what she was getting herself into.  Katie has zero regrets.  It has been a lot of hard work, lots of learning about herself and our community.  She feels pride and excitement when the midway is packed and the Grandstand seats are filled, everyone around is enjoying themselves, and making memories. It makes all the time, work and dedication worth it.

Todd County Fair Board Meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7:00pm

At each Todd County Fair Board meeting we discuss current matters at hand and make decisions related to the planning and running of the Todd County Fair

If you would like to attend a Todd County Fair Board meeting, please contact the Fair Board secretary to be added to the agenda. This way we can give you time to discuss or present any ideas, information, or offers you may have.

Although these meetings are public, only members of the Fair Board have the authority to vote on items brought forward.
